We can support you to understand each child and their emotional or learning needs. Fully qualified to Master's level, we are able to investigate emotional needs, formally identify Dyslexia as well as undertake assessments and screeners to investigate other areas of learning e.g., maths, memory, motor control, visual perception, attention/concentration and language. We also assess for Exam Access Arrangements in line with the JCQ guidelines and complete the relevant forms. Whilst we take commissioned work from schools, we are also available to help if you are a home-educating parent/carer and want support to design and monitor a programme for your child(ren).

My name is Heidi Humpage and I am a qualified teacher, SENCO and Specialist Assessor. I have taught in nursery, primary and secondary mainstream and special schools, most recently working as a Specialist Advisory Teacher for a Local Authority. Over my time I have assessed need and designed teaching programmes; supported schools with their SEND strategy; provided advice on particular groups e.g., Children who are Looked After, EAL; held solution focussed meetings with parents/carers and school to identify goals and next steps.

With over 25 years of experience across education, SEND, safeguarding, leadership and advisory roles in early years, primary, secondary and specialist settings, Sarah is also an Integrative Child Psychotherapist specialising in trauma-informed social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) support. Her practice is grounded in child development, neuro-affirming practice, attachment, neuroscience and psychodynamic theory, enabling her to provide compassionate, evidence-informed support tailored to each person’s unique needs. Sarah works with schools, families, children and young people to understand behaviour as communication, offering specialist assessments, individual psychotherapy including EMDR, consultation and professional supervision that promotes emotional regulation, resilience, safety, connection and lasting wellbeing.)
